  7. Where is the Seaside Lyceum?
  8. Where can we park for the races? We encourage you to get there early! Parking is available at Emerald Coast Middle School (ECMS) on Hwy 98 at 4019 US-98, Santa Rosa Beach, east of Hwy 395. Look for signage on Hwy 98 at ECMS for parking. When you get to ECMS, volunteers will direct you to an available parking lot. From the ECMS parking lot, there will be a shuttle every 10 minutes that will take you to the starting line. The shuttle is the most convenient way to get to the race. With the large number of runners, Seaside will be very crowded and getting in and out with all the closed roads will be next to impossible, so using the shuttle will save you time and aggravation. Shuttles will start running at 5am. Additional parking details may be available in the coming days.
  9. Can I register on race day? There will be NO race day registration available.
  10. Can I switch from the Half Marathon to the 5K? Yes, but only while the 5K is open for registration, fees may apply. We anticipate that the 5K will reach its field limit well before race weekend.
  11. Do you take credit cards for registration at the Expo on Saturday. Yes.
  12. What are the event start times?  Sunday, March 3, 2019.
    • Half Marathon: 7:00am
    • 5k: 7:25am
  13. What are the time limits for the races? Are they walker friendly? You must be at least 6 years of age to register and compete in the 5K and at least 14 years of age to register and compete in the half marathon. The half marathon course will be promptly reopened to traffic at 10:10 am (3 hours 10 minutes after the start of the race.) Race timing will be until 10:10 am. There will not be any support for runners or walkers along the race course after 10:10 am and participants will be directed to sidewalk. Dogs, vehicles to transport children, baby carriers, bicycles, skates, and skateboards, are strictly prohibited.
  14. Are there any maps of the race venue? Yes, click here to view the map.
  15. What will the weather be like when I run the Marathon? It’s always a beautiful day in Seaside.  But for those of you who insist on trying to predict Mother Nature, we have compiled the following information: Click Here For Current Race Day Forecast Temperature: The weather in late February and early March is somewhat unpredictable, but the average high is about 69/70 and the average low is about 51/52. Over the past 10 years, it has been as hot as 78 and as cold as 35. Rain: It might rain, it might not. Our Race season isn’t the rainiest time of year, but it’s not the driest time either. (Several years ago it poured during packet pick-up on the Saturday evening before the race; however, we had nice race weather the next day.) Water Temperature: Except for snowbirds and college spring-breakers, most folks find that the Gulf is still too cool for swimming.
  16. What sports drinks are available on the course? Water and Powerade are available at each waterstation.
  17. What can I do before and after the race?ยป Weekend Events
  18. How do I get a refund if I cannot attend? There are absolutely no refunds.
