As we get closer and closer to race day, the questions regarding everything from last-minute registration changes to accommodation options are pouring in. We have compiled some of the most often asked questions below:

Q: Does this race offer a military discount?
A: Thanks for reaching out. At this point, we are not offering a military discount. It is certainly something we will consider for the future though.

Q: Am I am able to buy a parking pass after we register?
A: Simply email race@runseasidefl.com — if there are any still available, they can help you out.

Q: I’d like to switch my registration from Half Marathon to 5K. Is that possible?
A: Yes, but you will not be able to receive a refund for the Half cost. Please email race@runseasidefl.com, and they can help you out.

Q: I’d like to switch my registration from the 5K to the Half Marathon. Is this possible?
A: Yes, this is possible. Please email race@runseasidefl.com, and they can assist with this process. There will be a charge to upgrade, since there is a difference in price.

Q: Where is packet pickup on Race Day?
A: While you can pick up your packet on race day, we strongly encourage you to do so on Saturday instead. This will avoid the last minute crowds and ensure you get your correct shirt size. If you must pick up your packet on Race Day, packet pick-up will be in Seaside in the main Central loop.

Q: Where do I park on Race Day?
A: We encourage you to get there early! Parking is available at Emerald Coast Middle School (ECMS) on Hwy 98 at 4019 US-98, Santa Rosa Beach, east of Hwy 395. Look for signage on Hwy 98 at ECMS for parking. When you get to ECMS, volunteers will direct you to an available parking lot. From the ECMS parking lot, there will be a shuttle every 10 minutes that will take you to the starting line. The shuttle is the most convenient way to get to the race. With the large number of runners, Seaside will be very crowded and getting in and out with all the closed roads will be next to impossible, so using the shuttle will save you time and aggravation. Shuttles will start running at 5am. Additional parking details may be available in the coming days.

Q: Can I register on Race Day?
A: There will be NO race day registration available.

Q: Can someone else pick up my packet for me?
A: No, We will no longer accept third party pickups. All participants must pick up their own race packets. Please make arrangements to be there in person on Saturday of Race Weekend from 12:00 to 5:00 PM. A parent or legal guardian must accompany a minor at registration and packet pickup.

Q: Are you looking for volunteers to help with this event?
A: Absolutely! The race is put on by volunteers so any help is greatly appreciated. Please send an email to volunteers@seasideschools.net. Don’t forget to let us know what type of job you’re interested in and your available dates.

Q: Can you recommend a good place to stay?
A: Check out our Accommodations page for all that good info!

Q: Can I register on Race Day?
A: We are capped on spots due to the width of the road. There is a limited number of runners (Half Marathon and 5K combined) that the county will allow. We always expect to sell out before the day of the race, so I certainly would not recommend waiting until the last minute if you want to race.

Q: When is the deadline to sign-up for the Half or 5K?
A: There is no true deadline for signing up for the 2020 race, however we do sell out of bibs every year. There is a maximum number of runners allowed on the road. We do not offer Race Day registration.

Q: When will race registration for 2021 be available?
A: Stay tuned to our website, Facebook and Instagram pages for date and registration announcements. Our goal each year is to open registration by Memorial Day weekend.
