Hello runners… and congratulations! We would like to thank each of you for coming out and participating in this year’s 18th Annual Seaside School Half Marathon and 5K Race! We hope everyone had a great time. Thousands of registered runners from 40 states and 5 countries participated in this year’s race. The dedication and support from our runners, volunteers, sponsors, and our community continues to amaze us, and has resulted in another successful and FANTASTIC race weekend!

We would like to give special recognition to our presenting sponsor, Vera Bradley, for providing both Half Marathon and 5K finishers with their popular designer totes. It’s always fun seeing these totes worn by both our female and male finishers. Every year, the gap between The Seaside School standard of excellence and the funding provided by the state seems to grow more and more. There are either funding cuts or we simply want more for the students. In any case, the shortfall is significant each year. Your participation reduces class size. Your participation provides middle school and high school students the opportunity to participate in elective classes for gardening, music, art, an award-winning robotics program, advanced placement classes as well as career-readiness industry certification courses.
