Packets & Swag

Can I pick my race packet up on Race Day?

Yes, but we strongly encourage you to do so on the day before instead. This will avoid the last-minute crowds and ensure you get your correct shirt size.

Can someone else pick up my packet for me?

No, we do not accept third party pickups. ALL participants must pick up their own race packets. Please make arrangements to be there in-person on Saturday of Race Weekend from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. A parent or legal guardian must accompany a minor at packet pickup.

Race Logistics

Where can I park for the Expo and Race Day?

We encourage you to get there early! Parking is available at Emerald Coast Middle School (ECMS) on Hwy 98 at 4019 US-98, Santa Rosa Beach, east of Hwy 395. Look for signage on Hwy 98 at ECMS for parking. When you get to ECMS, volunteers will direct you to an available parking lot. From the ECMS parking lot, there will be a shuttle every 10 minutes that will take you to the starting line. The shuttle is the most convenient way to get to the race. With the large number of runners, Seaside will be very crowded and getting in and out with all the closed roads will be next to impossible, so using the shuttle will save you time and aggravation. Shuttles will start running at 5:00 AM on Sunday. Additional parking details may be available in the coming days.

Can I register on Race Day?

Race Day registration is NOT available.

Can I switch from the Half Marathon to the 5K?

Yes, but only while the 5K is open for registration, fees may apply. We anticipate that the 5K will reach its field limit well before Race Weekend.

Do you take credit cards on-site?

Yes, we do.

What are the event start times?

The Half Marathon starts at 6:45  AM on Sunday, February 19, 2023. The 5K starts at 7:05 AM on Sunday, February 19, 2023.

What are the time limits for the races?

The Half Marathon course will be promptly reopened to traffic at 10:00 AM (3 hours 15 minutes after the start of the race.) There will not be any support for runners or walkers along the race course after 10:00 AM and participants will be directed to sidewalk. Race timing will continue on Central Square after 10:00 AM.

What is not allowed?

Dogs, strollers and other vehicles to transport children, baby carriers, bicycles, skates and skateboards are strictly prohibited on the race course.

What will the weather be like?

It’s always a beautiful day in Seaside! The weather in mid-late February is somewhat unpredictable, but the average high is around 70 degrees and the average low is about 50. Over the past 10 years, it has been as hot as 80 and as cold as 35. It might rain, it might not.

Except for snowbirds and college spring-breakers, most folks find that the Gulf is still too cool for swimming during this time of year.

What drinks are available on the course?

Water and Powerade are available at each water station along the course.

How do I get a refund if I cannot attend?

There are absolutely no refunds.

Where do I get photos?

Complimentary finish line and event photos will be provided by the official Seaside School Race Weekend Photography Sponsor. More details will be announced soon.
