How to Get Here
Scheduled for February 28 through March 1, 2020, the Seaside School Race Weekend is a 3-day event featuring amazing coastal cuisine, plenty of fun for all ages and races starting and finishing in the colorful neighborhood of Seaside, FL. If you’ve ever seen the Jim Carrey film, The Truman Show, then you have an idea of the kind of beautiful coastal architecture that you’ll find along the route at the annual race.
You’ll feel immediately at ease in Seaside — here, most people get around by bike or by foot. Funky airstream trailers serve BBQ, hot dogs, crepes, shaved ice and more. As anyone who has been here knows, Seaside is best experienced by actually spending time here. Those who rent homes in Seaside for a vacation make it an annual trip, sharing it with generations of their family.
Whether you hop on plane or get behind the wheel, you’ll have your feel in the sand in South Walton in no time!

Race Day Parking
To avoid the closed roads on the morning of the race, we encourage you to get there early! Parking is available at Emerald Coast Middle School (ECMS) on Hwy 98 at 4019 US-98, Santa Rosa Beach, east of Hwy 395. Look for signage on Hwy 98 at ECMS for parking.
When you get to ECMS, volunteers will direct you to an available parking lot. From the ECMS parking lot, there will be a shuttle continuously that will take you to the starting line. The shuttle is the most convenient way to get to the race. With the large number of runners, Seaside will be very crowded and getting in and out with all the closed roads will be next to impossible, so using the shuttle will save you time and aggravation. Shuttles will start running at 5 AM.
